Hearing from God - The question's been asked,
"Why should anyone believe Steve Cochran heard
from God, when clearly his prediction was in
error?" Now without knowing anything that
occurred behind the scenes (so to speak), I too can
empathize with this manner of thinking. I mean, if
someone prophesies 'thus and so' will occur
before a certain date, if nadda happens before that
time, then according to God's word, that person's a
false prophet! Yes, according to the Word -- it's that
cut and dry.
Human Error - Now I realize no one else has
ever experienced this and that I am
speaking/preaching only to myself, however just in case
there are one or two of you out there, the following
may be for you! There have been a few times in my
life wherein I received a word from the Lord, yet
added my own interpretation into
that Word! Yes, yes, I know,...most of you are
dumbfounded! How could anyone ever do such a stupid
thing! Well, in my particular case, most of
the time it's simply my zeal or desire to step out
into what I am sensing to be the Lord. There is
of course the alternative -- do nothing. But to me,
that's unacceptable. Anyhow, even though God may
have given a sure word, by adding any additional
information into a completely legit word, corrupts
it.
"Did God really say,...." - I spent a very
long time deciding exactly how I was going to
explain this, or rather attempt to prove to you that I've heard from
God and that "The time is now!" Yet as
I've contemplated writing story after story, all in
an attempt to settle any disputes, I realized most
stories or apparent confirmations would carry
little weight or credibility with you as they have
with me. Thus I have decided to spare you (myself
included). So without any further delay, here is
what happened - all
confirmations omitted of which I received a truck
load of.
Over 25 year ago I was given a powerful end time
message. Though I preached many other sermons, the
Lord never allowed me to preach or teach on that
it, that is until now. It's funny, even as
Y2K approached, I still had no release to write a book.
January 2008 - One day I woke up and knew
"The time is now!" With that word, I
knew and assumed several things. First, I knew it was time to write
the book and second, I knew in my spirit I needed to finish it by
"around" Nov. of 2008. Remember this part --
because it's this portion of the word of knowledge
that I began to assume or misinterpret.
As the months passed, confirmation after
confirmation occurred. Even if the word of knowledge
was ever second guessed, the confirmations (to me)
were utterly astounding, and yes, even miraculous!
However here's where --> I <-- got in the way,...you see, in
the back of my mind I knew that if God was
telling me "The time is now" to write The
Graph and that I had until Nov. to finish, then I
also knew something must follow shortly thereafter
for the church to listen/read The Graph. This
portion was simply common sense. However, what I had
felt and relayed to others was -- that a significant
event was going to occur shortly after. What event?
Once again, I just assumed it was the
First
Trumpet.

Then
one day I'm watching the news and what
do I see? Please watch the news video
(right). Now for those who've read The
Graph, you'll know exactly why I related
this news story to the following verse:
Revelation 8:1-13

1And
when he had opened the seventh seal, there was
silence in heaven about the space of
half an hour.
In a nut
shell, I saw this news broadcast and then
misinterpreted the event as the
opening of the period of silence.
However wouldn't have you too? I mean if you
were positive you had heard from God and
you knew "the time" was now and
that you had until Nov. to finish with
confirmations following, wouldn't it all
make perfect sense!?! In fact get this -- if
June opened up the 1/2 hour of silence, then
(to me) that meant in December the 1st Trumpet
would blow!
That must be the significant event! Wow! No wonder I had until
November, right??? But again, this was me
assuming and pure conjecture to His
initial and legit word. Oh I had until Nov.
to finish, but not because the month
following would contain the 1st Trumpet.
It however would hold a relative and
significant event.

Circumstances Beyond Control - During the
entire year of 2008, it seemed no matter how hard I
worked, I gained little headway on The Graph. Then
calamity struck! Thus due to legal matters and
issues regarding my company beyond my control, I was
forced to stay at another home of mine for a little
over a month. During this time of solitude, I was
able to finish The Graph which just so happened to
end on Nov. 4th! ! I saw the Lord take
tribulation and turn it into blessing.
Of course, then when Israel went to war w/Hamas, it
seemed perfectly logical (to me) that the 1st
Trumpet was imminent! However one thing kept nagging
at me -- Israel was the aggressor in this conflict!
This part seemed to be out of step according to
prophecies located in Daniel and Ezekiel. None the
less, I maintained my position that "this was it"
because I knew and still know that I heard
from God -- that "The time is now!"
Regrettably, it wasn't until much later that it
occurred to me that Israel's aggression which began
in Dec. directly related to a prophecy located in Ez.
38 (discussed in detail here -
Israel Dwells Safely) and upon their return "from
the sword" that only THEN and after that time
period had ended, could the half hour
of silence begin.
Of course, Israel going to war was most certainly
a significant event as I'll show you it was THE
marker or better said, the Precursor to The Beginning of the End. EXTREMELY
significant!
Israel's War - Precursor
to the Beginning of the End - The
problem I have had from the very beginning was pin
pointing the starting date. If the time was indeed "now",
then what was the marker that opened up the half of
hour of silence? It's known there was another time I had
felt the half hour of silence began on Jan.
20th. 09. Why? Because it was at that time Israel
withdrew from the Gaza strip effectively returning "from the
sword" and for the most part, all were back (as
scripture states will happen - found in the above link) in
their homes, and dwelling safely. Thus,
according to scripture, after Israel returns from
the sword (war), only then could the time of
silence, i.e. Israel dwelling safely and be at
rest begin. However, just because Israel was in
their homes dwelling safely on Jan. 20th 09, was that
the beginning of the half hour of silence? It seems
not. However if not, then when?
It eventually hit me -- IF for the most
part the Trumpets are dispersed in one year
intervals, just as the celebration of the Feast of
Trumpets occurs annually, then wouldn't it stand for reason
that the
Precursor to the Trumpets be similar? In other
words, wouldn't Israel's return from the sword occur
approximately one year prior to?? If so, then
we must advance on year after Israel returned from
the sword to arrive at a starting date.
So, if Israel returned from the sword on Jan. 20th,
2009, then one year later is 1/20/10. However does
this date carry any significance? Is it a marker of
any type? Not really. However one month later is!!
Yes, exactly one month and 10 days -- March 2010
begins the Jewish new year! Thus if this is our
starting date, then we can expect the 1st Trumpet
will sound right somewhere close to the Feast of
Trumpets! Very interesting!
