The 1st Trumpet

⁷The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. 

If you recall in The Graph, I pointed out that the Trumpets correspond with the Seals. The 1st Trumpet corresponded to the 2nd Seal and since the 2nd Seal is War, the effects of this War are revealed via the 1st Trumpet! If we examine the 1st Trumpet, we can conclude several key aspects about the event.

  Since we know the 1st Trumpet is War, as revealed by the 2nd Seal, let's consider: "the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up" From this we must conclude either the enemy is an extremely poor marksman and attacked/bombed open fields of green grass and trees, or these must be populated areas (civilization) which just so happen to include grass and trees.

  Also, it said, "the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up."  I interpret the destruction of the green grass to be localized to the same area the trees were. I see no way of separating the destruction of the grass from the trees which were destroyed. Even more improbable - to destroy only grass, but not the surrounding trees. Bottom line - 1/3rd trees and 1/3rd green grass will be BURNT UP in the same proximity. 

  The words, "fire mingled with blood" suggests humans are killed by fire. For this to include 1/3rd of the 'earths' POPULATED area, which just so happens to include trees and GREEN grass (a massive amount of land), something similar in scale to a large continent will be the recipient of this missile bombardment. This bombardment is an obvious success as revealed by the words, "mingled with blood" = the missiles found their mark.

  What type of missiles can destroy on such a large scale and with fire and not via normal explosive material fragments?

  What nations have weapons of mass destruction AND the ability to attack on a such a massive scale? Yes, it takes both criteria. It's certain America, Russia and China which could attack on such a large scale. But out of these, WHO would attack populated areas with WMDs? Would Russia or China attack each other? Would Russia or China attack the United States?

  Note the 1st Trumpet invokes "hail" further lending credence to a nuclear event, i.e. any precipitation in the area would be thrust miles upward into earths atmosphere accompanying the mushroom cloud.  Note: hail is created due to normal precipitation being carried higher via an updraft into the earth's atmosphere which eventually freezes due to lower temperatures at higher altitudes. A perfect example or storm type is Tornado which is almost always invokes hail.

Earthquakes in divers places - Now I realize the following contains no proof of the 1st Trumpet being a massive nuclear event, as I attempted to extrapolate from Rev. 8:7 in the notes above. However I would like you to consider the following. Jesus said in Matthew 24:7 there would be earthquakes in divers places.

So here it is -- IF Israel's period of calm/silence has begun, then some large continent or continents with pretty green grass will be nuked soon after the silence ceases!  Nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom and should take place "about the space of" 6-8 months from the time Israel's peace began which we are claiming to occur at The Feast Of Trumpets -- 9/18/09
